This course introduces the elements, principles, and design concepts that serve as a foundation for all works of art. In project work, students exercise creative and critical thinking skills as they learn and practice drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and visual communications. In addition, students survey the history of art and discuss the worldviews expressed by artists throughout time. This course includes discussion of the biblical nature of art as well as training in how to look at and evaluate works of art.
This course is designed for students with focus and personal motivation to develop their art portfolio. Projects assignments allow students to work in their chosen area of art: drawing, painting, design, sculpture, ceramics, photography, etc.

- Prerequisite: Introduction to Visual Art -OR- Photography/Digital Art
- Recommended: 1 or more semesters of advanced course work
